The only people we can think of as normal are those we don't yet know very well

Teen Counselling

Navigating the world of growing up can be so difficult. At this time in your life it can be really hard to imagine life could get any easier or that you could feel better about how you feel about yourself, your relationships, your family and the pressures of school. As nerve wracking as it can be to initially give counselling a go, spending time with a psychologist (and someone who is not intertwined in your everyday life) means that you have someone you can talk to about the very human and stressful challenges you are faced with in the process of growing up.

Most of us find ourselves feeling a bit mad, at one point or another, and you do not have to manage all these feelings on your own.

People who come along to see me may struggle with a range of difficulties including:

  • Bullying

  • Big life changes

  • Traumatic experiences

  • Parents divorcing

  • Self-esteem

  • Gender & identity

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Worries, Stress or panic

  • Exhaustion & trouble sleeping

  • Angry feelings

  • Low mood

  • Tension in the body

  • Conflict with parents

  • Friendship difficulties
